Bita Golshan-Lotfi has returned to the firm, after two successful prior years here, after completion of her law school studies and admission to the Illinois Bar. Ms. Golshan-Lotfi is fluent in French, English and Farsi, and has lived and studied abroad in France. Ms. Lotfi has worked extensively in European and Middle Eastern legal matters and in all areas of the firm's practice. Ms. Lotfi also received the prestigious AmJur Awards in the areas of International Business Transactions and Comparative Law.
Jim (Jinpeng) Zhang has re-joined the firm after prior successful association. Mr. Zhang has two law degress from and is licensed to practice law in the People's Republic of China. He has also successfully completed both a Masters in Comparative Law as well as a Juris Doctor (J.D.) Law Degree in the United States. Mr. Zhang has extensive work experience in the legal practice and the business world, in the U.S. and also working in the foreign investment and trade areas, advising, meeting with and assisting U.S. and foreign nationals in their China investments while in China.
Alberto Gonzales continues with Susman & Associates as a professional legal assistant/paralegal. Mr. Gonzales is fluent in English, Spanish, Tagalog and proficient in French. He has worked in the immigration law area since he started with the firm, and has taken continuing legal education courses in this area.
Evita Peron Williams joined the office as an assistant in 1998. She brings with her a focus on efficiency and an excellent attitude. Her professional goals include someday attending medical school. The firm has enjoyed several foreign attorney interns in 1998, including from Latin America and Sweden.
